Gratitude
Gratitude is a very necessary trait in order to survive the day to day trials of life. It also changes our mindset by reminding us to be objective and not get carried away with our problems. I’m thankful to the personal development industry for showing me this wonderful trait.
Every day we need to practice gratitude and equanimity. Upon waking it’s great to spend some quiet time communicating our gratitude for everything around us. A roof over our head and food on our table. The freedom to learn new skills and develop ourselves. The health to carry on with our professions. But most of all, the gratitude for being able to develop our mindset to bring to us all the joy and abundance our heart desires. It’s great to have the control and power to deliberately change our thoughts, so that we can see the world differently. It can effect the outcomes we get.
What about our dearest friends and partners with whom we share all life’s joys and sorrows? They are the greatest treasure we can have. Our good relationships we have with them enable good health both physically and mentally. They offer us a new perspective on life from which to launch our future plans.
There are so many wonderful things that the Universe imparts into our daily lives, that once we are in tune with our blessings, we can feel gratitude for. Daily occurrences such as being shown the right path for us, making the right decisions concerning our health and wellbeing, being able to feel others love and affection.
We have to learn to be thankful in every situation. There is always a positive side to every problem. It can either be sorted out for which we should be grateful, or the Universe will show us a different way to sort it out which we hadn’t thought of before. Or it might just be that the Universe is trying to protect us from the potential outcome of trying to make something work, which wasn’t meant to in the first place. We must always trust Life to bring us what we need. It always does even though it may not seem so at this moment.
We must also never take anything given to us for granted, and make our practice of daily gratitude a continuous ritual. A ritual that brings more of what we want into our lives. It’s a steady flow of output of gratitude from us, and a receiving of the positive energy of the Universe on an everflowing basis.
We raise our vibrations by focusing on the positive. This changes our point of attraction to bring more of what we want into our lives. If we shift our mindset, and stop complaining about things, life will respond by giving us what we desire.
The motto is; ask with an open heart and you will receive. Gratitude is a small price to pay for the growth and contentment in our lives.
